I went out with a friend last night, he likes to call what I do with the sketch book “soul collecting”. I like that. What I’m trying to do, is make a drawing based on my very first impression of a person. Sometimes my first impression is based on their personality, and sometimes on the overall shape of their head and or features. Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don’t.
Most of these were done last summer all in a small 3×5 Moleskine.
The big Knish
I did these in Manhattan on the night of the”Big” Blizzard, I did them with my TWSBI pen and Noodlers Aircorp Blue ink. It’s two inks in one, the black is waterproof and the blue is not, so I can go over it with a water brush and get a blue wash.
